Today (sniff sniff) Eli had his very first day at school (he had never had preschool so it was all new to him and me!) He loved it!! He talked what about all he did in class. I asked him if he talked much and he said yes alot! I thought to myself oh no! I said what did you talk about he said "well Mrs. Lesley asked if we knew school rules. one girl said no yelling in hallways and another girl said no knives and I said no putting my little brother in my backpack!!!" :).... I will have to verify that one with Mrs Lesley for sure! I mean has he and Ethan had some secret plot about this?? knowing Ethan the answer is probably yes!
Speaking of Ethan he is so confused by it all. When Eli put his backpack on for school Ethan cried because he needed one AND when we walked into the classroom Ethan made himself at home and started coloring and using markers ( I am sure Stephanie and DeAnna the Sunday School teachers are snickering as they read this and thinking What a shocker!! LOL) When we were leaving he said "where we going?? I have to go to skoo" (not a misspelling that is exactly how he says it.) And then as soon as we were driving out of the parking lot he said we needed to go pick Eli up now...
All in all it was a great day. Eli said he was excited to go back Monday and that makes things so much better! Now to get Ethan to understand why brother is gone to school everyday that might take some time..
If anyone is wondering why Eli has a icky green bruise on his forehead well it is a love wound :) Emily was trying to kiss him and he tried to get away and slammed his head on the table.. Funny thing is he loves her more than kindergarten :)

To set the record straight - yes he did say that a school rule is "never put your brother in your backpack and sneak him into to school" :) He was a doll baby though, and I loved every minute of being with him today! Tell him I can't wait to see him again on Monday!
So cute, kids say the cutest things. I am glad he enjoyed his first day of school. And for the record I am still upset that Kayden and Eli didn't get in the same class.
So glad the day went well for him.
Eli is too cute! He is going to love Kindergarten. Mollie still misses nap time:) If Ethan is ever missing, you'll know to check Eli's backpack....
That is hilarious! You know they have probably been secretly planning to sneak Ethan in the backpack...then Eli's conscious got the best of him at the last minute and he decided they better not try it. But, where in the world did the little girl hear you shouldn't bring a knife to school?? Should that even be an issue in kindergarten?? If so I am scared now. I would keep an eye out for that one :)
So glad it went well! He will love Lesley -- she is absolutely a wonderful teacher! I observed her a lot when I was in college and I loved it!
Your little guys are so cute! I know that first day of school next year will be horrible. It breaks my heart to see my baby growing up. Lesley will be a great teacher. Hope you can move closer to us soon!
So glad that everything went well! Eli is such a cutie, and I'm sure Ethan will start enjoying his alone time with Mommy!!
